Does Plarem drain my battery?+
No. Plarem never polls GPS. It registers your reminders as geofences with the operating system, which monitors them using the same low-power system that powers the rest of your phone. Typical impact is negligible.
Does it work when the app is closed?+
Yes — that's the whole point. The OS wakes Plarem when you cross a reminder's boundary, even if you haven't opened the app in days. This is why Plarem asks for “Allow all the time” location access.
Where does my location data go?+
Nowhere. Geofences are evaluated on-device by the operating system. Plarem has no server, no account system, and no analytics. Your reminders are stored locally on your phone.
How precise is the arrival detection?+
Geofencing is designed for arrival at places, not centimetre precision. Radii start at 100 m, and the OS may take a minute or two to confirm you've entered a zone — that's normal, battery-efficient behaviour.
When is the iPhone version coming?+
Plarem for iOS is in development and uses Apple's native region monitoring. Leave the App Store button a little time — it'll light up soon.
